Rulings on the transcription into French birth registers of children born abroad of a surrogate mother

On July 3rd, 2015, the French Cour de cassation ruled two decisions stating that surrogate motherhood alone cannot justify the refusal to transcribe into French birth registers the foreign birth certificate of a child who has one French parent when the birth certificate reflects who the biological parents of the child are.
